Reviews: Guile Branco’s A Halloween Feast in Review

Trick or Treat! Some people love Halloween so must, they have to make it a Halloween Feast–and you'll be shocked at what the lengths some people will do to be happy.

A Halloween Feast

Angela Long (Lynn Lowry) is not ready for A Halloween Feast, and that’s because she can’t handle the stress. After going psycho on her husband, getting committed to a sanatorium and finally released, hopefully life will be normal. However, there’s much more going on in her mind that this film, written and directed by Guile Branco wonderfully goes Psycho at! But there’s more to this film than meets the eye when considering just how unstable this woman of the house is. There are things that can set her off, and if I were her family, I’d be careful around her!

That’s because after slicing her husband’s fingers off after catching him smoking, I’m sure not everything is stable in her head. This actress is excellent at delivering the goods, and although the same can’t be said for Absolute Underground Magazine having every movie review of mine in, at least there’s this website (when I have time to do the posts). And I’m sure this film can give The Simpsons: Treehouse of Terror specials a run for its money, and the appeal here is that some conservatives may want to sympathise with this lead. The husband is a deadbeat; the kids are at different stages of their lives. For example, the eldest child, Karen (Julia Coulter) has a boyfriend (Branco), and I’m sure mom did not expect that! I’m sure all these little added stresses become troublesome, and Lowry is great at playing up the paranoia.

Doctor Roger Park (Lou D’Amato) tries to help, but unfortunately he’s of no help when the patient goes after him too! As for this woman’s kids, they want to move out and do stuff, but it seems mommy dearest doesn’t want them to leave the cuckoo’s nest too soon.
