Interview with Dwid Hellion
By Ted Wilson
Absolute Underground: Today we're talking to Dwid Hellion, known best as the founding member of Integrity, a maelstrom of post-apocalyptic brutality that has terrified and fascinated listeners for 28 years. Relapse is by and far the largest label you've worked with in those 28 years, and their distribution, listenership coupled with their strong artists, is pretty phenomenal. Most of your albums have been on hardcore labels, despite your not really identifying as a hardcore band. Does this move feel like something you've been waiting for all these years?
Dwid Hellion: Yeah, it's a great opportunity to finally have our music on a label that I think can understand us a little better... in the 90s we were on a label called Victory, and they didn't really know what to do with us, or how to pay us, haha. But yeah, I think that Relapse is going to be a great fit for us and you know... and I'm an old man now, they should have got me in the 90s, but we'll see what I can come up with, I suppose.
